This is a first and oh so eco-friendly! Eyewear made with coffee and flax. Maxim Gavrilenko is the founder of the Ukraine based Ochis company. After a trial and error over the last couple of years, he created the first glasses made of coffee and flax. The focus was to produce a totally organic and non-toxic eyeglass that was also made sustainability. The glue is based with vegetable oil and the main components are coffee and flax.
The end results, a firm, light frame with a matte finish, velvety tactual effect and ergonomic bridge and the best part it will biodegrade in soil or water to become a natural fertilizer.
Launching on Kickstarter soon, the five styles are for both men and women with varied colored lenses. One can purchase via Kickstarter or online.
