Due to space issues, all I have room for is a small stacker washer-dryer. They are expensive, not available in water and energy savings, plus they don’t seem to last as long. The last broken W/Dryer, I wheeled on the street and it was gone in like 5 minutes, being taken to Tiajuana. The washer worked but the dryer didn’t.
Washing Machines and Dryers should and can be recycled. If you are purchasing a new W/D, normally the company will pick up the old. if it is still working, you can always put on Craigslist as a give away, donate or resell. You might even try to contact your local scrap dealer, they might buy if from you if you can get it there.
It is pretty obvious from the below examples that washers and dryers for that matter can be reused in creative ways. Especially the drums.
On a more decorative note:
The drum…. lamp
These chairs do not look that comfortable, but who cares
The Ottoman
Of course in the garden, You wouldn’t even have to take it apart
Adding some disco into the garden
