People laugh at me when I tell them coffee grounds and filters can be used in 100’s of ways. Ergo this blog post:
1.) Organic fertizler- My number one, all I do is save up coffee for a week, go make a small hole and bury.
2.) Pest repellant- I have had ants and have used both baking soda and coffee grounds. Just put around the area.
3.) Coffee grounds might deter other pests in the garden as well.
4.) Use in closets and refridgator and drains as a cachet and smell reducer
5.) Abrasive scrub for pots and pans
6.) Fill in scratches on furniture and wood floors.
7.) Meat tenderizer, just soak your meat-
- When pan frying a steak (seasoned steak fried in butter), pour a little black coffee over the meat and in the pan when it’s close to done. Her steaks are delish!
9.) Flavor food, from cakes to cupcakes.
10.) Use as soap, gets rid of garlic and onion smells
11.) Use as Face mask, a little egg and a quick scrub as an exfoliated;
- mix 1/4 cup olive oil, fine sugar and used coffee grounds. Apply in a circular motion to scrub off dry skin and reveal soft, smooth skin all over.
12.) Rinse your hair- Adds shine to to brunette and black hari.
13.) Cellulite scrub
- mix a tablespoon of olive oil with a quarter-cup of moist, warm coffee grounds and apply to the troublesome areas of your body. Wrap the areas tightly with plastic wrap, leave on for a few minutes, and then remove and shower as normal. It’s recommended that this be done a couple times a week for best results.
