I do not know if I will be able to really sell these beach trash T-shirts. This one, while reusable and wearable it is a little worn and frayed. Will someone buy it? They buy and sell worn and frayed jeans. They buy and sell worn and frayed decor….. Is there any difference between used clothing found on the beach v.ss found in the Goodwill? We will find out as I gather more opinions and options.
This red and white Man-Style Sleeveless T-shirt was found in South Mission Beach (of course) Watching the No-Sew-Turn-A-T-Shirt-Into-A Tote Bag video (DIY T-Shirt-Bag) was just my style. 15 Minutes max and didn’t have to put out the sewing machine.
To start, I cut the bottom for the fringe look. In this case I cut about 7 inches up and about 1 inch wide. The video said to cut the bottom, but I didn’t do that. If you want a more ‘fringy’ look, I would cut the bottom
Then you knot it across on one way and then knot again using opposite sides. Not complicated.
The end results: A little holey on the bottom, so I would not use for small items or keys, but it would be good for many larger things.
This a perfect project for anyone, even kids, to teach them how to turn their trash into a reusable item, for them to put games and even some clothing. I could imagine having a T-shirt party for kids and for them to do this.
