Supposedly a Dumpster, by definition is a place where you dump trash. Not anymore. A while ago we did a post on Reusing Dumpsters, but this is a new one. Artist Gregory Kloehn actually lives in one when he is in New York. When you think about, what else do you need. He has a sun roof, toilet, sink, stove, , mini-bar and grill.

He is not the first, German designer Philipp Sting, has envisioned a world in which all people can afford a sustainable home. His livelable dumpsters, include wheels. The dumpsters have 2 parts, the live in and a smaller portable bathtub.
Maybe you wouldn’t want to live in a dumpster, but just to celebrate urban reuse- why not visit a dumpster bar? Dutch designer, Rikkert Paauw en Jet van Zwieten is showing the world that trash receptacles can be an effective and creative way to reuse. (Source) What is very cool about this, is they can be fairly easily transported (same vehicle that moves all dumpsters) and moved to different locations or events.
