With the rise of plastic in particular our ocean, one has to ask what do we do with it? How can it be economically harvested and included into a circular economy? With only several ‘Plastic Picker Uppers’ in the ocean… we still have to find a way to pick it up and reuse it.
One way is this Eco Yacht, a new design that can collect 5 tons of plastic from the ocean and reuse it to product renewable fuel.
The Ocean Saviour design was introduced in Southhampton at a boat show. Included is machinery which will mill and process the plastic on board and turn into fuel.
