This video was made by Brian Radcliffe a 20 years old sophomore at the University of North Texas, Brian is a Music/Jazz Performance Major, and this video was part of a project for his Ancient Rhetoric (or College Writing or English for short) class in which they had to choose a topic to argue for and make an “invention” to show how well it functions within our society today and how effective it is to the audience we are appealing to. He chose littering because he is huge lover and supporter of the unbelievable amount of natural beauty on this planet and can’t fathom human laziness and apathy when it comes to something as simple as putting trash in a trash can or making use of all the recycling bins made available to the public. Also, he wanted to try to present the facts of how badly littering affects our economy as well as our environment in a humorous fashion to help people remember, think, and act on the things stated in the video the next time they are about to throw an aluminum can in a trash can or about to throw a piece of trash out the window of their moving car.
The main target audience of this video is supposed to be young adults between the age of 16 and 24. Brian knows that it may be hard for that age group to grasp some of the facts like how much money tax payers are having to spend to clean up litter each year because they probably aren’t paying taxes at that age, so hopefully people of all ages can benefit and learn from this!
The music played at the end of the video was made by Brian and the person who helped film this, Jacob Conley. Their band is called Chronometry and you can actually go to www.chronometry.bandcamp.com and download a 3 song EP for free!
