I recently ran across this great new site Climate Culture, which can help you make eco smart decisions on products and services. Best of all it’s free! The thing is- you may not believe in global warming (my brother) and not really care about recycling (my nephew) don’t know what a carbon footprints is (my mother) but what all want to do is save money. The best thing about switching to EnergyStar appliances, using CFL’s or LED lighting, buying less products, taking shorter showers, using less electricity, you can save money and the side effect- you save the environment!
Just to test- the site- I found out by switching to 3 CFL’s I saved $51.00 per year. Because I use a drying rack rather than the clothes dryer- I save $75 per year and over 2100 lbs/CO2. They also have a water calculator as well.
Check out the site- they are offering several contests- who doesn’t want to win!

Switching over to energy saving techniques helps to have a safe environment. It also cuts down on the electricity bill. For instance reducing your shower by one or two minutes helps to save 5 gallons of water per day! http://j.mp/x69cE has water-saving tips that will help us to live smarter!
