I love to write about people that are doing something for the environment , starting their own business and doing so in an Eco-Friendly way. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to write about everybody, but Jody Seguine at Dress- M- Up reused clothing really struck me because the clothing is so cute! Jody and a few other moms salvage clothing and reuse and remake them into the most adorable outfits for girls. Not only that they donate 20% of the proceeds back to worthy causes.
I’ll tell you what else I like, the recycled clothes are one of a kind and affordable. Some of the outfits are $20! Where else can you get one of a kind, eco fashion and handmade for $20?
You can view pictures on Dress M Up, but the site is being worked or or go to Etsy A little bit about Jody:
A mother of 6 ranging from 4-25 yrs old, 3 grandchildren, an artist and
writer , (you can view her art on Etsy as well) And- she has a ministry which feeds up to 500 people a week! In fact she got the idea from the clothes that were being donated and thrown away in the trash!
She garage sales for the clothes or gets them at Sav-mor which is like a Salvation Army. The only clothes they take from the ministry is the stuff people don’t want. The purpose is of course to earn money for our families but 20% goes to a worthy cause. (Like sending Foster kids to camp, a mission trip, or for someone in need).
In her own words: ‘I know this probably sounds crazy to most…and I am okay with that…but I really feel that this is something that God has told me to do. I love the Lord with all my heart…and I love people. If this is another adventure that He is taking me on so that I can love on people then that is what I want to do.’
For the record, Jody is from Southern California, Long Beach area, so all California can shop local and support local business and charities. I highly recommend you visit the site, shop on Etsy, your kids will be complimented on the remarkable eco friendly clothes.

Oh my goodness! I have seen these clothes and they are absolutely precious! I only wish they made them for “big kids” like me! Every single thing was amazing. I can’t believe the talent of these women – and all done with “throw away” clothes. Fabulous!
