My ultimate goal in life is to be carless. No more car insurance, no more tuneups and tires, no more costly fill-ups, no more worries about parking. As much I as I try to walk or ride my bike, sometimes you just need/want a car. (i.e. trips to CostCo, moving, car pooling, emergencies)
Even though my current car (Honda Element) is probably not my last car, I am constantly on the watch for micro, non gas guzzling cars. I figure by the time I need a new car, there will be a whole new generation of mini-micro eco friendly affordable cars. The T.25 City Car is in the works and should be available in a couple of years. Small, 74 mpg, seats 3 and best of all sells for only $9,000.
