  16. I have a house full of cypress wood that I want to salvage. The front half of the house (the part with the best wood) was built in the 1890’s. All of the original cypress came from a sawmill behind the house. There was a train track that ran in front of the house. We are told that the house was originally built as a station for shipping the wood from the sawmill (the town was Georgeville, LA for those wanting to further research).
    The beams are rough cut cypress. There are four bedrooms, a living room, and hallway. All have cypress flooring, cypress bead board walls and ceilings. The outside of the house also has cypress siding. The house is 3000 square feet but only the front half is the original wood, so approximately 1500 sq ft.

    Also available is a claw foot tub, some very large natural stones (1 foot each at least), old doors, various old square head nails, train track pieces, and a phone booth (seriously, a phone booth is in the house).

  17. I’m in the process of taking down and salvaging my barn, built around 1900 (don’t know exact date, but the house was built in 1870). The wood siding is 1″ thick oak. 4″-12″ wide, 4′-8′ long. They vary. Excellent condition, just weathered. Will have apx. 1500 sf when finished. Taking nails out. All boards have the old saw cuts visible. Also will have old pine shiplap roof decking, some beams and old 2″ thick boards. Haughton, La. Want to sell when I’m finished. Will deliver. If interested, please email. Can send you photos. Is someone interesting in removing around 10,000 sq ft of wood flooring (the actual skating rink flooring)? It looks to nice to just tear out and throw away. Old Maple about 2.5″ width? make an offer, you remove and its yours.

  31. I’ve recently removed over 30 windows from my grandmother’s home, which was built in 1934. I’d like to sell them. Some of them are single pane and some are multiple pane…6 or 8 panes.
