• SAD Lumber- (Milan) Stop Advancing Destruction of America’ Virgin Timber: Reclaim as much historic lumber we can in southeastern Indiana and remill it into useable lumber: flooring, casement, baseboard, ceiling material, wall covering and wainscotting.  We hope to educate the American public that the old lumber they see in those falling buildings came from trees which had never been cut in American history.  The trees used to make these 1880’s buildings were virgin timber; large in diameter, slow grown, tight grained with a beautiful patina.  The wood is not rotten.  It’s beauty is just hidden under over 100 years of valuable use.  This lumber could have another 100 years of use, if we just give it a chance.  The environmental side is: using this lumber cuts down on the number of current trees which need to be cut, and reclaiming as much as possible for these buildings keeps this material out of our landfills – where it does not belong. Shop Address: 212 West Carr Street Milan, IN
