I am looking to put up a post and rail style fence around a very large area (1-2 acres to start) I need to be able to keep in the kids and the team of huskies. I am looking for reusable fencing materials…posts, wire cattle fence, boards for the rails.

Please let me know if there are any construction companies that hold on to these types of materials for repurposing, or if there is anyone taking down a fence that wants to recycle.

    I live in the Suring/Mountain area…will travel.
    Thanks!!

Kathleen, Are you still looking for 4″ red oak trim? I believe I may have what you are looking for. I can send photos if you are interested. I have crown molding, door frames, window frames, trim, etc. from a 1918 bank building. I believe it’s red oak, but from what I understand, years of nicotine affects the stain. The pattern of the grain, however, is just beautiful. I believe I have a couple of the doors and teller booths as well. Let me know if you are interested at shmutzmonkey@gmail.com.

Looking for at least 4 SUBSTANTIAL porch posts for my Victorian Porch. Already have 1896 porch railings/balusters with larger-than-official-bowling-pin-sized spindles, so no spindly four poster bed post-types will work here! Will strip off old paint if necessary. Hope to have by mid to late Spring 2017. Milwaukee area location optimal, but may be able to arrange more remote pickup.
