Big Springs, Texas has been suffering a major drought and now they are testing with recycling wastewater from the towns 27,000 residents.
“We’re taking treated effluent (wastewater), normally discharged into a creek, and blending it with (traditionally supplied potable) water,” district manager John Grant told Discovery News.
While toilet to tap is not new, this will be a first in Big Springs who is is down 40% in water.
