Several years ago we did a post on abandoned boats and the huge economic problem it has become. Removing abandoned boats cost taxpayers from $3,000-$30,000 per boat, depending on size and the cost goes up if they are sunk. Owners are supposed to pay, but in reality, when a boat is abandoned, smart owners remove identifying marks.
Coming to the end of summer (boating season) instead of abandoning the play-toy, you can reuse boats into cost-saving ideas, like a home garden. If you have a yard, check out these cool ways to reuse your boat into a unique garden piece.
I love this and wish I had found it before I gave away my boat. Could have put it in a corner in my front yard and planted around it. Would have been a fence. (Apologies, I can’t find the image source on this)
