I had an email from a person looking for reclaimed furniture from boats. Something with a little history. Got me to goggling and found this great Boat Furniture site All From Boats made by Achmad Kurt, a German living in Indonesia. If you have ever been to Indonesia, hopefully you have been on one of these boats, whether diving or following dolphins.
I am so surprised at the amount of furniture made from Indonesian boats, I have sailed literally in boats that appear to be duck-taped together! He has done a great job of capturing the integrity of the Indonesian boat design, especially the colors.
He also has coffee tables, sideboards, shelving, bars and benches. I wish I had known about this the last time I was in Kuta and Ubud. Since my bucket list includes visiting every one of the 2,000 Indonesian islands- this is on the list of places to visit.
