  2. I have about 10,000 linear feet of yellow pine, 1″ x 4″ that was recovered from an old school house. The school house was over 100 years old. Does anyone know the value of this wood? It is true 1″ x $” and is in very good shape.

  7. Yes, there is a market for the flooring. You can donate it to Habitat for Humanity, try and sell it on Craigslist or contact any of the reclaimed wood places that are listed on this site.

  14. I HAVE 10,000 SF OF MAPLE WOOD GYM FLOORING FOR SALE. THE PLANKS HAVE ENGRAVING ON THEM MERCER WI-MI , I AM BEING TOLD THE GYM IS AT LEAST 80 YR OLD.

  16. We are remodeling and have lots of 1″by 6″ boards that are being removed from the outer walls and replaced. Also lots of 1″ by 6″ lip boards that were originally under the siding. Is there a market or value to these old pieces of lumber? The house is an old school house that was was moved into town in the 60s, but still has alot of the original lumber in the walls.

  36. I have purchased an old bldg in Dawson Nebraska and am not sure if its worth restoration. Built in 1885, it is the original bank ,general store and fancy play house/theater with 18 ft ceilings. Amazing hand painted wood ceilings throughout along with all original bank pcs. Triple brick walls and 2″ xs . The joists are 3″x12s. Nice oak flooring throughout also. Am interested in salvage offers.
    Also has amazing iron store front that was imported. All glass in tact.
