I am going to make an assumption that the below water saving mandates are not just for San Diego. Any Level 2 would have similar mandates.

Landscape Irrigation Laws
- Limit landscape irrigation with sprinklers to ten minutes per station on each of three designated days per week. (From November 1, 2009 – May 31, 2010, landscape irrigation will be limited to one designated day per week.)
- Irrigate only 3 days and 10 minutes per station
- Odd numbered housesmay irrigate onSunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
- Even numbered housesmay irrigate onSaturday, MondayandWednesday.
- Multi-family accounts and non-residentialaccountsmay water on Monday, Wednesdayand Friday.
- Irrigate residential and commercial landscape only after 6:00 p.m. and before 8:00 a.m.
- Repair all leaks within 72 hours of notification.
- Use only recycled water to operate ornamental fountains or similar features
Major No-No’s
- Do not wash down paved surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, tennis courts or patios, except to alleviate safety or sanitation hazards.
- Stop water waste resulting from inefficient landscape irrigation such as runoff and overspray.
- Stop water flow onto non-targeted areas such as adjacent property, non-irrigated areas, hardscapes, roadways or structures.
- Wash vehicles with a bucket and handheld hose with a shut-off nozzle. (Avoid washing during hot conditions when additional water is required due to evaporation.)
Commercial
- Irrigate nursery and commercial growers’ products only after 6:00 p.m. and before 10:00 a.m. (Watering is permitted at any time using a handheld hose with a shut-off nozzle, bucket or drop/micro-irrigation system.)
- Repair all leaks within 72 hours of notification.
- Use only recycled water to operate ornamental fountains or similar features.
- Restaurants can serve water only upon request.
- Hotels can launder towels and linens daily only upon request.
- Use recycled or non-potable water for construction purposes when available.
In addition, SDWD will:
- Suspend all annexations to its service area.
- Suspend all new potable water service except for the following cases:1) a valid, unexpired building permit has been issued; 2) the project is deemed necessary to protect the public’s health, safety and welfare;
Fines
- Restrictions Will Be Enforced SDWD hopes that all customers will comply with mandated conservation measures. Those who are not in compliance will be contacted. If non-compliance continues, they will ultimatelybefined.Escalatingfines will be assessed and fees added to the violating customer’s water bill.
- First-time non-compliance with a mandated restriction will result in delivery of a written notice.
- If the customer does not comply with the mandated restriction, a series of $100, $200 and $500 fines will be assessed.
