Another company has entered the market to manufacture Fishing Net Eyewear. Joining the ranks of Bureo, Karun (Bureo), Costa (Bureo), See2Sea and Norton Point WaterHaul has launched two pair of sunglasses made from 100% recycled fishing nets.
Based in the UK, which being an island is surrounded by ocean trash, so doing this is bringing needed attention to the plight of our oceans. Ghost Nets are one of the top killers of marine animals with an estimated 640,000 tons of nets lost in the ocean.
The Sunwear lenses are Barberini mineral glass, Barberini is one of the oldest optical lens companies still in business today. Mineral Glass lenses are known for their optical clarity.
