I think every since the success of the Ocean Trash shoes from Adidas, we will most likely see more of this look and ocean waste material.
Sperry has gotten onboard with their new Sperry Bionic, sustainable shoes created from an average of five plastic bottles that have been recovered from marine and coastal environments.
Partnering iwth Waterkeeper Alliance , they are ‘on a mission’ a part of their new sustainability platform “Look Good, Do Good.” How it works: BIONIC sets up recycling facilities and organizes beach clean ups around the world with NGO partner Waterkeeper Alliance. Sperry will sponsor beach clean up.
To further their sustainable mode: The shoe boxes are made from 100 percent recycled paper and only use vegetable ink and water-based glue.
