Bikes should NEVER be thrown away! There is such a global need for bikes and parts. If not in working order, donate or recycle at a scrap dealer. But for the really creative, check out Israel based artist, Nirat Levav who has created a series of dog sculptures made with used bicycle chains. Several years ago, she visited a bike shop with her son and became interested with bike parts and voila, the series was born.
